Greatest Drink Recipe EVER
Like most folks I know, I looove a great cocktail. And I think I may have found the greatest drink recipe ever thanks to NYLON Magazine. (I might have to pick up this magazine more often)
Here goes...
Sweet Relief

*1 oz simple sugar (dissolve 3/4 sugar in 1/2 cup water over low heat)
*2 oz Stolichnaya Vodka
*1/2 oz fresh lemon juice

Check It Out!
Personally, I think Lindsay Lohan is wacker than WACK, but check out this latest issue of NYLON because one of my best friends has some of her work in this issue. A little while ago she did a photo-shoot for a band and you can check out the final product on page 150 of the latest issue of NYLON Magazine.
Check out Talaia a.k.a. Amoura on Twitter. Also, check out her blog :-)

Wink Beauty Bar
Introducing Brooklyn's first (or one of the first) eco-friendly nail and day spas!
Attention ladies of NYC, be on the lookout for the grand opening of Wink Beauty Bar in Brooklyn next month (April). Personally, I haven't gone to a nail salon in months because to be honest the ones near me suck. They do a horrible job and the smell of the salons make you want to pass out upon entering them. At Wink they don't use any chemicals so you'll actually be conscious while getting your pedicure :-)
For more information check out Wink's site. As an added perk if you sign up for their newsletter via their Website you get a free gift certificate!
For me, April couldn't come any sooner...

RIP Blender Magazine
Today it was announced that music publication Blender Magazine will be no more. The issue pictured above will be the magazines last issue.
Other magazines better watch their backs. With the recession and the popularity of the internet they're about to see some really hard times.

I'm Checking This Out Tonight
For all my NYC people, the folks at TheSource.com and SOB's are putting on an international Hip Hop showcase tonight. It's only $10 and for the youngin's out there it's an 18 and up show (I think).
I'll more than likely be checking it out. Can't go wrong with good music and SOB's extensive (although expensive) drink menu.
Oh, and if I do attend you can definitely expect some FlipCam footage on here tomorrow ;-)

National Jump A Turnstile Day
I'm sure everyone who lives and/or works in New York City is well aware of the MTA's "Doomsday Plan". The ominous plan, which received a final vote yesterday, will raise one way fares on the MTA from $2 to $2.50, an extremely ridiculous increase! And monthly Metro Cards will be increased from $81 to $103!!!
Not only is the MTA increasing prices drastically, but they also plan on cutting service. That's why I'm proclaiming June 1, the day the fair hikes will begin, National Jump A Turnstile Day. So if you're catching the train to work, school, Starbucks, etc. you better jump that turnstile or if your turnstile-jumping skills aren't quite up to par feel free to just slide your way into one of the exit doors you see ladies with baby carriages exiting out of. Now who's with me?!

Ciroc Discriminating?
Update: FOLKS, this story has been reported as FALSE. Some a-hole sent a bogus e-mail.
I recently came across this on Sandra Rose's Site and I had to re-post it on here. It's pretty crazy. Apparently the folks over at Ciroc Vodka aren't appreciative of dark skinned African American women. Check out this casting call notice a reader of Sandra's site received...

Heffa, Why Are You Famous?
I don't know about ya'll, but I'm getting real tired of seeing these reality show reject, rapper girlfriend wannabe chics plastered all over the damn internet and TV. Why in the hell are you famous? Because you acted like a damn fool on Flavor Of Love. Because you managed to land a spot on the arm of America's most metro-sexual rapper?? I don't mean to call other females "heffas" and "bitches" etc etc., but these broads really irritate the hell out of me.

Hey folks, check out this video of my friend Kay M on BET's "106 And Park". Kay M's been killin' it on Freestyle Friday for a minute now. Unfortunately, since I no longer have cable (fuckin landlord!!) I haven't been able to check out his progress on the show. But thanks to Ill Answer's Tweets (lol) I was able to find a recent video on BET's Website. Check it out.

You New Cats Kill Me
"You remember when Spiderman didn't want to be Spiderman no more? Cause his personal life was so f***** up, but he was just, like, killing s*** as Spiderman...?"
- Kid Cudi at SXSW on his retirement announcement
Now just a few days ago I was actually sticking up for this guy on Twitter. But now I have come to my senses people. Don't get me wrong, I do like Kid Cudi as an artist I'm just getting fed up with all these new artists quitting after a few months of fame.
MAN THE FUCK UP. Seriously, Oh Boo Hoo your BFF Wale thinks you're not making good music anymore. Who the fuck cares?? As long as you like it and your fans appreciate your music then move on. You rappers kill me some times. Grow some balls. No wonder why rappers don't like bloggers because the people they associate themselves are afraid to speak their mind. But anyways I could bitch for days about this. But I won't. Plus I feel a headache coming on lol.
