My Letter To 50 Cent
Dear 50 Cent,
You suck balls. I don't mean that literally, but you suck as an artist. I've been meaning to write you for a long time and explain you're suckiness to you, but haven't gotten around to it. In my opinion, you're a prime example of what's wrong with Hip Hop. I know you've still got those people out there who support you because you released some decent shit back in the day, but you are a sell out. Artists like you only see dollar signs. You're about quantity over quality.
I wish you knew how much your dumbass beef with Rick Ross irritated me. It annoys the hell out of me when two artists get into it with each other (pause) shortly before their albums drop. We know it's all publicity. You can't think we're that dumb. Did you even release a single dis track? Because that's typically what artists do when they have issues with each other. They don't make cartoons or visit their rival's moms job. Cause that's just some dumb shit right there.
Vitamin Water sucks by the way. It's just a nasty version of Gatorade. And your show on VH1? Garbage. Just like your pal Tony Yayo. I know this letter may seem kind of mean, but you did it to yourself. I'm sure you and a lot of other "artists" probably hate us bloggers. But you gotta understand that we're just fed up. We're fed up with the bullshit artists (like yourself) and the garbage music being put out.
Good luck with your album...*In Borat voice*...NOTTT!
Sincerely,
Danielle H.

El Michels Affair Covers Wu Tang's "C.R.E.A.M."
I'm not too familiar with El Michels Affair, but I received an e-mail with their version of the Wu Tang classic "C.R.E.A.M." and it really is off the chain. It's got a nice, soulful feel to it but it still stays close to the original. So do yourself a favor and check it out.

Behind The Scenes Footage Of Lil Kim Video
Although her skin color seems to get two shades lighter every year and she's got an MJ nose, I've got to give Lil Kim her props. She's doing her thing on Dancing With The Stars and she's also releasing a new album. Here's some behind the scenes footage from the set of "Download", Lil Kim's new video.

COWABUNGA DUDES!
If you're a true ninety's kid chances are you were completely obsessed (and still may be) with The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I'm sure you probably even had your own personal favorite. Mine was the goofy one who was always eating pizza. I forget his name, lol. Sorry folks, it's been a minute since my TMNT days.
This Thursday (April 23), the Tribeca Film Festival will be showing The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie as part of their FREE drive-in movie. The pizza will be flowing or at least I hope it will so check it out if you're up for a little carefree fun.
Thursday, April 23
World Financial Center Plaza
Tribeca Drive-in opens at 6:00 pm.
Activities and programming begin at 6:30 pm.
Film screenings start at dusk (approx. 8:15 pm).

K'Naan On Piracy
Here's an interesting video I found of Somalian rapper K'Naan discussing piracy on Hard Knock TV. I think he may actually be writing an opinion piece in an upcoming issue of the NY Times regarding piracy. Not sure if it's actually been given the okay yet.

Hip Hop Show Etiquette
In no particular order...
1. Put The iPhone/Blackberry Away!
I know this is a hard one, but really people it’s just rude. Not only is this rude at Hip Hop shows, but it’s rude at any event that requires you to pay attention to a performer/speaker/etc. If your head is buried in your phone than there’s no way you’re actually paying attention to the show. I’m sure your Tweet, text, or e-mail can wait.
2. STFU!!!
Not only is constant, loud chatting annoying to the people around you but it’s also extra disrespectful to the person performing. Motor mouths are especially noticeable at smaller, more intimate venues. I’ve even seen a few of them called out mid-performance so spare yourself the embarassment.
3. They’re Gonna Pay.
This one goes out to all the artists out there that think that since they’re performing their entire crew is entitled to get in for free. Sorry, but it doesn’t work like that folks. In order for people to have an outlet to perform at said outlet needs to get paid so that means your folks need to pay up.
4. Excuse You…
I know you’re at a Hip Hop show and all, but that doesn’t mean you have to leave the manners at home. I know people tend to get a little excited at Hip Hop shows, but I’m just saying the eighth time you bump into someone you can at least say excuse me.
5. Show Some Love.
If you’re actually feeling the person performing don’t be afraid to show a little love. Now you don’t have to break into a full blown Carlton Dance with accompanying Cabbage Patch. But it’s okay to bob your head or give a nice round of applause afterward.
If anyone has anything to add feel free to hit up the Comments section.

Pack FM At End Of The Weak (EOW)
On Sunday night (April 5), EOW held their first ever team MC Challenge. It was good times as usual. I wanted to get some footage of the actual challenge, but Pro was threatening to snatch folks cams since EOW was filming it exclusively for their site. He seemed pretty serious so I chose not to bring out the FlipCam for the challenge lol.
Although I did manage to tape a performance of Pack FM before the challenge so check it out. And congrats to the Dream Team (Mazzi, Homeboy Sandman, Elete, Pumpkinhead, and Mecca) for winning the team challenge.
