Fashionista D! (Not So Much)
Okay, if anyone knows me they know that a fashionista I am not, lol. Although, this not-so-fashionista did attend her very first 'official' fashion show (Designer Abi Ferrin) this past Sunday at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York. Yay me! I emphasize the word 'official' because this was on some New York Fashion Week ish and not some random fashion show in the basement of Sinclair Baptist Church or something.
Anyways, the show was very organized, no drama at the door. I was kindly escorted to my seat which happened to be an aisle seat! Sweeeet! To my enormous delight, I spotted a few goodies placed on my seat. Which included this bag from Aldo...

Yet another bag for my rapidly growing handbag collection :-) I also spotted an Abi Ferrin bag filled with goodies including a package of espresso coffee which I know seems completely random for a fashion show swag bag, but hey they were one of the sponsor's for the show. The bag also included some nasty ass green tea flavored mints, the latest copy of Elle Magazine, a gift certificate for Abi Ferrin's site and a few other goodies.
So, after about 10 minutes of going through my goodies the show started. The first dress a red, silk charmeuse dress was amazing and hands down the best piece of the show in my opinion. The show continued on for about 10 to 15 short minutes. Lights came on, people bounced, and so ended my first 'official' fashion show.
Oh and P.S. check out these great clutches from Abi Ferrin. All of Abi's clutches are made in conjunction with Guardian Village Handcrafts, a great non-profit organization in Nepal.
