EOW Anniversary Weekend!!!

For anyone who will be in the New York City area you have to....scratch that, YOU NEED TO check out End Of The Weak's (EOW) nine year anniversary festivities this weekend. If you're a fan of Hip Hop chances are you've heard of EOW which happens to be the longest running weekly open mic in NYC. Not only that, but in the past few years EOW has gone global with branches in Europe and South America.



On Saturday, September 5 EOW will be kicking off their anniversary weekend with a FREE concert at the East River Park Bandshell that will feature performances by Immortal Technique, Serius Jones, Iron Solomon, and more. The following day EOW will be holding their weekly open mic but with a special performance by Mickey Factz and I'm quite sure there will be a few surprises as well.

Pack FM At End Of The Weak (EOW)

On Sunday night (April 5), EOW held their first ever team MC Challenge. It was good times as usual. I wanted to get some footage of the actual challenge, but Pro was threatening to snatch folks cams since EOW was filming it exclusively for their site. He seemed pretty serious so I chose not to bring out the FlipCam for the challenge lol.

Although I did manage to tape a performance of Pack FM before the challenge so check it out. And congrats to the Dream Team (Mazzi, Homeboy Sandman, Elete, Pumpkinhead, and Mecca) for winning the team challenge.

I'm Back (Again)

Hey folks, after another hiatus I'm back. And I'm really, really gonna try hard to post on a regular basis this time :-) With the stresses of life these days it's sometimes hard to dedicate your time to something 100 percent. But I enjoy blogging a lot so I'm really going to try to.

Anyways, I was checking my e-mails the other day and I got an e-mail from the good folks at EOW about a MTV2 documentary they were gonna appear in. Of course, I'm really glad for them but I really expected to see like 30 seconds of footage of them tops lol. 'Cause I just kinda figured that MTV2 is probably stingy like that. To my surprise and delight, a few of my pals from EOW really got some serious play in this documentary. It's a very good look for them and I'm definitely excited about posting the video on my blog.

So check it out and for those of you who don't know End of the Weak (EOW) holds their weekly open-mic Sunday nights at Pyramid Club in Manhattan's Lower East Side. I assure you you'll have a good time and if you're as lucky as me you might even get shoved by KRS One's security one night :-) Gotta love security...
